如果是對擔保人的安全調查,自己就可以做好,然後郵寄.這樣快些.如果針對國內申請人的,就不知道了.不過,也可以試一試

Security Check vs. Background checkMy personal understanding is:
Security check,
Immigration Canada think some of the applicatant's infoamation will be potentially damage Canada's national security, such as, former Communist Party member, military person from non-democracy country, police or security person from non-democracy country etc.
Background check,
Immigration Canada think some of infomation of appplicatant is not very clear, such as, the working history, the education history etc, needs to be check in detail.

As I know, if Immigration CanadaAs I know, if Immigration Canada think one of you, your relatives(children or parents,sometimes brother or sisters if they are working in some sensetive position) was national employee of PRC, then you should go though security check.
